ChalkFest At Reston Town Center is presented by Public Art Reston and Reston Town Center. All are invited to create chalk drawings on Market Street. The event is open to professional artists, amateur artists, businesses, families, and kids of all ages. There will be prizes for professional artists, amateur artists, families, and kids, in addition to the “Audience Choice Awards”.

The Festival is one of the area’s most unique and fun events that attracts a diverse and motivated audience and promotes public art in Reston. Participants are invited to show off their creativity and realize chalk drawings on Market Street, in the heart of Reston Town Center.

The festival draws a wide range of participants and even larger group of visitors to witness their amazing talent. In 2016, over 2000 visitors participated in the festival’s programming, exceeding the expected visitor goals for the three-year old festival. The festival’s visitor profile reflects highly desired market segments like families, young professionals, community leaders and local government officials and the area’s growing “creative class.”
