The 11th annual Fall Backyard Burn is a series of 5 and 10 mile trail running races held on some of the best trail networks in the Northern Virginia Area. All the courses include a mixture of forested fire roads, twisty hiking trails, several stream crossings, grassy fields, and minimal pavement. Race #1 - Lake Fairfax Park - Reston, VA Course Description (5.0 mile OR 10.0 mile option): We added the Lake Fairfax course to the Fall BYB series in 2013 and it was in instant hit! Located in Reston, VA, this suburban park has a lake, huge fields, pavilions, and many newly designed trails. This fast and fun race course includes forested single-track, lakeside trails, and open fields. This newer race is a crowd pleaser and a great addition to the Fall BYB series.
