Local historian Jim Lewis leads you on this enlightening tour focusing on Centreville (aka Newgate) from its infancy through the American Civil War years when it became a large Confederate and then Union fortification. Numerous historical structures and earthworks still exist in Centreville, and we will visit one of them. In addition, learn about the history of Braddock Road and its diversion through the middle of town. Bus departs from Fairfax County Govt.
