Greater Reston Art Center, in partnership with the Reston Community Center, welcomes visitors to the Sunday Art in the Park series. Before attending your Sunday concert, come to the gallery to see the work of Radcliffe Bailey and drop in on an art making activity. Fun for adults and kids alike! Drop in anytime between 3-5pm. All ages welcome. This event is free. No registration required.

July 9: Stencils and Prints

Create your own unique artwork by layering and printing with stencils. Work with pre-made stencils or try your hand at making your own.

July 16: Dip and Dye

Learn how to use natural dye techniques to create your own piece of textile art. Design your own piece of small fabric to take home.

July 23: Basic Bead Making

Learn how to transform scraps of paper and old magazines into beads. Participants will learn this new jewelry design technique that can be easily done at home.

July 30: Photo Transfers

Learn how to use materials you can find around the house to make photo transfers. Transfer an image with just a piece of packing tape. The final transfer can be used in collages, scrapbooks, or as window decals.
