Step back in time for a 45-minute immersive experience and see Mount Vernon through the eyes of the people who knew George Washington best. Actors portraying characters such as Washington's granddaughter, personal secretary, or farm manager will guide you across the estate as they go about their daily activities, making several stops along the way.

Offered weekends, March through December, at 1:30 p.m. A portion of the tickets for this walking tour are offered in advance and the remainder are sold at the ticket window on the day of the tour. General admission tickets are required, and all tour participants must purchase an additional ticket for this tour. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. The tour will start promptly at the posted time; please allow at least 10-15 minutes to walk from the main entrance to the tour's starting point at the Mansion Circle.
