Tributes at the Tomb at Mount Vernon
Mount Vernon welcomes those who wish to pay their respect to the Father of our Country to honor George Washington by participating in a brief wreath-laying ceremony at the Washingtons' Tomb. A Mount Vernon History Interpreter will lead those assembled in the Pledge of Allegiance, General Washington's prayer for his country, and the placement of a wreath - with the help of volunteers.
Wreath-laying ceremonies are held 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., April - October, and 12 p.m., November - March. Consult Today at Mount Vernon for programming details.
