* Hours: Tues-Sat 10am-3pm, 1pm Tour * The City of Fairfax purchased the historic Blenheim estate in 1999 to preserve and develop into a Civil War house museum and open-air park. Blenheim is a c.1859 central-hall-plan brick farmhouse on 12 acres. It is nationally significant for the 100+ signatures, art, and poetry created by Union soldiers, a "diary on walls" providing insight into typical soldier life, during the Civil War. The site annually hosts the popular Fairfax Civil War Day occurring on Saturday, April 30th, 2016.
