Located in western Fairfax County, this park was established to preserve large areas of open space, protect natural and cultural features and provide a wide variety of recreational opportunities for the public. The park's 650 acres are home to the Walney Visitors Center, Walney Pond, historic ruins, picnic grounds, sports fields, hiking trails, historic Cabell's Mill, and upland and bottomland forest, streams, and meadows. Ideal for birdwatching, hiking, biking, exercise, picnicking, and organized sports.
