Getting around campus is easy when you’re at Mason. For travel between buildings or between campuses, shuttles transport students from morning until night.

On the GMU Transportation page you will find schedules and information about the Prince William Shuttle, the West Campus Shuttle and the Metro Shuttle. These services are provided free of charge for Mason students and are convenient for getting around the entire Mason community

Mount Vernon’s Fall Wine Festival & Sunset Tour

Join Mount Vernon in its rain-or-shine fall celebration of the history of the Virginia wine industry on the east lawn overlooking the Potomac River.

Participants sample wines from award-winning Virginia wineries, learn about the successes and failures of our Founding Father's wine endeavors, enjoy live blues, and meet "George Washington" on the Mansion's piazza.

Guests have the opportunity to experience an evening tour of George Washington's home and are invited to visit the rarely-open basement cellar vaults where he stored his wine. Guests can take home a remembrance of Mount Vernon's Wine Festival and Sunset Tour from the Shops at Mount Vernon, open until 9:30 p.m. each evening. Cases of wine purchased at the Wine Festival can be transported by wine valets to the Shops for easy pick up at the end of the evening.

FRUIT & CHEESE BOXES
Picnic on the lawn with a delicious, fresh selection of fruit, cheese, summer sausage, crackers, wine biscuits and Virginia peanuts, all ready and waiting for your arrival. Fruit & cheese boxes are packaged for lounging on the lawn or toting around the tent. Each box serves two and is available by advance purchase only.

Tickets go on sale September 1 and are available at the Ford Orientation Center or online here. Early ticket purchases are suggested for this popular event.
