Acoustical music redefined
Made up of 2 adjacent 18th century barns, The Barns is a gift from Wolf Trap's founder, Catherine Filene Shouse, in 1981. Impressed by the acoustical quality of the wooden barn after attending a concert in one in Maine, she wanted to bring the same informal and acoustical setting to Wolf Trap. The Barns is home to the Wolf Trap Opera Company during the summer months.

Sully Historic Site showcases talented artists and musicians that bring a historical slant to the works they perform. Throughout the year Sully plays host to some of the most interesting and educational performing artists around.

Keep the kids singing all summer long
With 70 performances from late June through early August, Children’s Theatre-in-the-Woods presents family-friendly shows at 10 am and 11:15 am on Tuesdays through Saturdays. Amidst 117 rolling wooded acres and nestled in a shady grove, the stage is set for lively adventures in music, dance, storytelling, puppetry, and theater. All performances are recommended for children between Kindergarten and 6th grade.

Jammin’ Java is one of the premier concert venues in the United States and remains a staple of the Washington, DC area music community. Ranked as one of the top 100 clubs in the world according to ticket sales by Pollstar Magazine, Jammin’ Java has played host to thousands of musicians since it’s inception.

Great performances at Mason
Since October 1990, when the doors to the Concert Hall opened, the arts in Northern Virginia have not been the same. The Center for the Arts plays a key role in the cultural vitality of the Washington Metropolitan region, attracting more than 100,000 patrons each year to performances by both local and nationally recognized artists and ensembles.

Entertainment in the heart of Northern Virginia
The Patriot Center is a 10,000-seat arena that hosts Mason basketball games, concerts, family shows and commencement ceremonies. Bruce Springsteen, Keith Urban, Bob Dylan, Ricardo Arjona, Enrique Iglesias, the Harlem Globetrotters and Disney on Ice are only a few of the concerts and family shows that have performed at the arena over the past 25 years.
