Come join more than 125 Workhouse artists as all of our studio buildings stay open late from 6-9pm on September 11 for the 2nd Saturday Art Walk! You will experience at first hand the vitality, creativity and diversity of the artists who make up this unique arts community. Each 2nd Saturday Art Walk will feature receptions in all Workhouse buildings, where guests can meet each building's featured artist(s) of the month! In conjunction with the Art Walk, a reception in W-16 from 6-7pm will bring together artists, the general public and members of the Association of Interior Design Professionals (AIDP) to talk about incorporating original art into interior designs. The interior design professionals will visit the artist studios with their clients and other interested parties during Art Walk hours. The partnership between the Workhouse Arts Center and the AIDP encourages a Merger of Art and Design...to create...MAD Artists! The AIDP reception is the perfect time view the MAD! Artist Vignette, a room setting displayed in W-16 and created through the partnership of an AIDP member and the Workhouse MAD! Artist of the Month. NEW! Visitors can also meet the Designer’s Choice Artist of the Month! Also join us in Gallery W-16 during this 2nd Saturday Art Walk to celebrate the opening of the new Workhouse Artists Association and the Workhouse Art Guild exhibition. This exhibit will be on display July 7- August 1 in Gallery W-16, 1st Floor. Don't forget to pick up your Workhouse Passport to chronicle your adventures!
