For more than 12 years the Bull Run Festival of Lights at Bull Run Regional Park has drawn thousands of visitors from hundreds of miles away to Centreville, Virginia, just outside Washington, DC. This year's festival opens November 19th and runs through January 4th. The Bull Run Festival of Lights is held each year to celebrate the winter holiday season. The event sees more than 30,000 cars each season, and over 130,000 people! Bull Run Festival of Lights is located just off of Interstate 66 in Centreville, on Rt. 29 (Lee Highway), just 3 miles from historic Manassas Battlefield Park.
The Portal Wreath signifying the official start of the beautiful Bull Run Festival of Lights, this display has been part of the show since 2006. Each year a new ornament representing a display in the show will be added to this collection, and the portal wreath is the first in the series.
Santa's Enchanted Lights, with over 40,000 animated lights set to music! This great feature is merely a fraction of what you'll find at this season's Festival of Lights!

Discover a day of community, camaraderie, charity and cheer to kick off the holiday season! Cheer on kids of all ages as they "run as fast as they can!" in the Gingerbread Man Mile and Tot Trot, and if mom and dad want to do some racing of their own stores open at 8 am! Then snag some snacks and a seat for the Reston Holiday Parade at 11 am.
After Santa gives his final farewell to parade spectators, he is available for visits and photos until 4:30pm - we recommend stopping by after you grab lunch, as the line is much shorter. Make your way around the ice, mark a few items off the list, marvel at the Hyatt Gingerbread Village in their lobby, do a bit of people-watching.
Then at 5 pm, wander over to Fountain Square to see "Santa's Frosty Follies," a performance by Metropolitan School of the Arts, and stay for the magic and merriment of the Tree Lighting & Sing Along at 6 pm. Finally, climb aboard a horse-drawn carriage to end a day to remember!
While you go home with great memories, some local non-profits will go home with a smile too! The race benefits Neediest Kids, photos benefit SLHS Choir, and carriage rides benefit Volunteer Fairfax! Thanks for the support!
