Participate in a day full of free, environmentally focused and family-friendly activities, games and more at this year's SpringFest Fairfax. The annual celebration will take place Saturday, April 26, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Workhouse Arts Center.

Presented by Clean Fairfax in partnership with Fairfax County, Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority, Fairfax County Park Authority, and Workhouse Arts Center, SpringFest is Fairfax County's premier celebration of Earth Day and Arbor Day and is the place to be for entertainment, games, activities and learning opportunities for residents of all ages to celebrate Fairfax County's natural environment.

Last year over 3,000 residents attended SpringFest, and this year promises to be an even better event with on-stage performances by Billy B., Reptiles Alive, and Under the Sea. There will also be live animals, pony rides, a climbing wall, bounce house, and a wide range of hands-on activities and games to highlight some of the most interesting aspects of our local environment. Attendees will find native tree saplings, flowers, and vegetables at the SpringFest plant sale and tasty treats at the food court.

Celebrate Arbor Day with Fairfax County's Tree Commission Friends of Trees Awards and the annual presentation of the Arbor Day Proclamation, which ensures Fairfax County continues to be a Tree City USA site.

Please bring donations of toothbrushes, toothpaste, rice, and cereal for our community partner - Lorton Community Action Center - and get a free reusable bag while supplies last. Admission and parking are free.

Proceeds from Taste of Vienna directly benefit the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department. For over 100 years, VVFD members have been serving the Vienna community. The Vienna Community Band will play at 3 pm. McLean Day is the day when the whole town comes out to Lewinsville Park to celebrate their community! It's a day the kids can't wait for and anticipate for months. There is no admission fee to the festival itself and shuttle buses run all day long to get you there with minimal hassle.
Spend the day outside with the McLean Community (nonprofit groups, crafters, local businesses) and enjoy carnival rides, live entertainment and delicious food. The Alden will provide live entertainment on the McLean Day Stage. The kids will love the carnival rides throughout the park, midway with games and free pony rides for the little ones.

Springfield Days Festival 2014

Springfield Days is an annual community festival in the heart of the greater Springfield area of Virginia. Family activities for all ages and a variety of interests are available throughout the weekend. On Saturday, May 31, participate in the Springfield 5K (8am at the Springfield Town Center, previous site of the Springfield Mall). Attend the Farmer's Market starting at 10am at the same location. Also, attend the PetFest (on-leash pets welcome) from 9am-3pm at South Run Park (7550 Reservation Drive, Springfield). Then attend the Springfield Car Show starting at 10am at the American Legion Post 107 (6520 Amherst Avenue, Springfield).

Celebrate Fairfax!, Northern Virginia's largest community-wide celebration, arrives June 6-8, 2014 to the Fairfax County Government Center. Presented by Celebrate Fairfax, Inc, the annual festival hosts tens of thousands of visitors during the three-day run.

The 25-acre site is magically filled with fascinating sights and sounds of more than 300 exhibitors, food vendors, crafters and interactive activities. Celebrate Fairfax! showcases live concerts on eight stages, ExxonMobil Children's Avenue, a petting zoo, the Fairfax County Karaoke Championship, carnival rides, and great festival foods. Another fun activity for kids is the Inova Train Ride.

Nightly fireworks, presented by Leidos, are a highlight of the festival, and one of many great family programs. This year's Bud Light Main Stage features top national headline performers: The All American Rejects, Cheap Trick and The Hunts.
