In honor of the nation’s 250th birthday, the Fairfax County Public Library is proud to partner with the Fairfax County 250th Commission to launch an exciting, community-wide celebration: Fairfax250 Bingo.
This engaging program, beginning May 1st, invites residents of all ages to commemorate America’s semiquincentennial by exploring local history, connecting with their community, and celebrating the spirit of the United States– one square at a time!
Play, Explore, Celebrate
Fairfax250 Bingo cards feature a variety of fun and meaningful activities designed to spark curiosity and encourage appreciation for the diverse stories and experiences that shape our community. Participants can complete activities at home or venture out to discover the rich history and vibrant culture of Fairfax County.
How It Works:
- Pick up a Bingo Card: These are available at any Fairfax County Public Library branch.
- Complete Activities: Each square on the bingo card includes a unique activity. Some are educational, some adventurous, all celebratory!
- Mark Your Progress: Finished an activity? Mark your square with a sticker, stamp, or check.
- Get BINGO: Complete five squares in a row (across, down, or diagonally). Ambitious participants can aim to fill the entire card.
- Claim Your Prize: Bring your completed bingo card to any Fairfax County Public Library branch to receive a special prize!
Collect a Piece of History
Participants who complete a bingo card can choose from a collection of seven waterproof vinyl stickers featuring iconic Fairfax County landmarks including Mount Vernon, Gunston Hall, Fairfax Courthouse, Dulles Airport, Colvin Run Mill, Great Falls, and the National Museum of the U.S. Army.
Join the Celebration!
As America marks 250 years of history, innovation, and community, Fairfax250 Bingo offers a fun and meaningful way to reflect on the past, celebrate the present, and inspire the future. The initiative runs from May 1-December 31, 2026.
