The Capital Triumph Register announces the 22nd Annual Britain on the Green (BOG) car show will be held on Sunday, April 28th, 2019 at George Mason’s Gunston Hall in Lorton, VA. Start the 2019 driving season with a picnic, a day of admiring a variety of British automobiles, and a complimentary tour of the historic Gunston Hall and its grounds.



Past shows have featured over 200 British cars and motorcycles registered in approximately 25 Car Classes. Dozens of Triumphs and MGs are joined by Austin Healeys, Jaguars, Rolls Royces, Bentleys, Minis (old and new), Lotus, Land Rovers, and seldom seen cars, such as Jensens, Rileys, and Wolseleys. Additionally, the British car motor industry will be well represented with various displays and regalia for sale. Past Shows have been attended by over 800 spectators.

The Show is participants’ choice voting for car class awards, that is, the Show’s participants vote for winners in each car class. BOG also awards five special awards chosen by a committee: Best of Show (the Gunston Hall Bowl), Best Resto-Mod, Best Display, Best Survivor, and the Hagerty Youth Judging Award.

The price of the registration includes a commemorative poster (for early registrants only), a dash plaque, and a tour of George Mason’s Gunston Hall. Spectator admission will be Adults $10, Children 5-18 $5, Children under 5 are free. Special discounts including seniors, active and retired military, and AAA are not accepted special event days at Gunston Hall.  Admission includes a tour of the house and grounds, as well as, the car show. British car regalia and food vendors are available for your enjoyment during show hours. As an added feature, American Colonial historical reenactors will be onsite and provide various demonstrations.
