Caboose to Caboose, is a bike ride or walk between Herndon and Vienna. Event participants choose a day during the month of October and ride or walk the W&OD Trail from the Vienna Caboose to the Herndon Caboose or vice versa. Can only make it halfway? That’s ok too. The halfway point is the Bike Lane in Reston. Roundtrip is 16.7 miles.

Everyone will be encouraged to be a tourist in a town, shop and dine at nearby businesses then ride and do the same in the other town. Caboose to Caboose is a collaboration between the Town of Herndon, Town of Vienna, and NOVA Parks. This event was created to encourage people to be active, visit local businesses, promote their amazing towns, and create a little friendly competition between towns. The town with the most photos on social media in front of their caboose tagged with #herndonva or #viennava wins.
