Join Huntley Meadows Park naturalists virtually to discover the impressive skills songbirds, rabbits, crayfish, turkeys, and other wildlife must have to survive the chilly winter season. Explore how each animal’s physical and behavioral adaptations give them the best chance of survival. Learn skills humans use to stay safe and warm while in the wilderness. Build new friendships as we play games that practice teamwork with interactive activities, crafts and daily challenges. One activity kit is included for each registered child. Staff will coordinate pick-up of activity kits from Huntley Meadows Park in Alexandria, Virginia, one week before the programs starts. The program runs from 10 to 11 a.m. on Mondays and from 4 to 5 p.m. on Wednesdays. The cost is $64 per child for eight sessions. For more information, call 703-768-2525.
