Terra Voce has put together a charming CD… The playing is expressive and lyric… All in all the playing of Brightbill and Gabbert is quite spectacular. – Flute Talk, CD review of “The Frost Is All Over”, January 2013 issue
Terra Voce possesses a depth of artistry and musicianship that goes well beyond each performer’s effortless technique, luxurious tone, and impeccable sense of ensemble. The group’s exceptional vocal qualities transport the audience to another world where singing, story-telling, and dancing meet. – Christopher Johnson, Associate Director of Music, The Riverside Church, New York City (Christ Chapel Chamber Series)
I had the good fortune of working with Terra Voce as part of the Flute/Cello Commissioning Circle project and was profoundly moved by their rendering of my work, Dviraag. I was honored to have my composition included as part of their singular programming, which easily enchants audiences of all varieties with its unique world view. Both performers interpret each piece with exceptional attention to nuanced musical details. Terra voce is a remarkable duo, combining expert skill and musical sensitivity to deliver truly unique presentations for the flute and cello. – Asha Srinivasan, Composer and Assistant Professor of Music, Lawrence University, Appleton, Wisconsin
As soon as the first notes paint the air you know you’re in for something special. These guys have some of the purest tone in town. – Jeff Romano, Jimmy Dog Studios
