Washington Saxophone Quartet
If you've listened to National Public Radio's "All Things Considered", you've heard the WSaxQ in the transition music. But this treasured institution is celebrating its 40th anniversary with a new recording centered on "Baroque and before" music and a brand-new composition by Shenandoah University composer Thomas Albert.
Tickets are $40 and may be purchased at the door or online at http://www.amadeusconcerts.com. Students 17 and under and active military are admitted free of charge.
A pre-concert lecture by Music Director A. Scott Wood will begin at 3:15 pm, 45 minutes prior to the start of the concert.
A reception will follow the concert, at which attendees may meet and chat with the performers and fellow music lovers.
