Our name combines 3 words for this project’s identity, Pampa, Sazon and zone. Pampa and zone refer to our geographic origin La Pampa. A vast fertile lowland stretching across Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil. A lot of Argentine folk and culinary heritage has its origins in the life of the gauchos (farmers) at La Pampa. The word Sazon sounds like the season or seasoning in English, in Spanish it carries part of the same meaning but also refers to the uniqueness in flavor that each cook or culture incorporates into food.
We serve Latino fusion dishes, combining different gastronomic elements of Latin American cuisine. Our inspiration comes from the cultural exchange we have experienced in the United States as immigrants and from our Argentine origins and culinary experience for the past 16 years. Some of our dishes offer continuity of our culinary traditions from La Pampa while others are an expression of the creativity fueled by our cultural ties with other Latin American communities.
With so many countries and great recipes from around The Americas is impossible to fully represent ourselves in a single menu. So many elements are common between different countries, for this reason we can not label some of our dishes with a single country. We have created new versions of traditional dishes and we love the experience of sharing at least a few pieces of our inheritance with you. We hope you enjoy it.
