Will Meet With Planning Committee, Participate in Memorial Day Motorcycle Ride

Fairfax, VA – May 21, 2018 – Lord Nicholas Fairfax, a descendant of the namesake of Fairfax County and a current member of the United Kingdom’s House of Lords, will return to Northern Virginia this week to meet with the planning committee of his upcoming Lord Fairfax Charity Ride (LFCR). He will also participate in the 20th Anniversary of the Ride of the Patriots to Rolling Thunder during the Memorial Day weekend.

The Lord Fairfax Charity Ride will take place September 22 – 25, 2018 and will benefit four Northern Virginia charities. Lord Fairfax will lead this multi-day ride on a Harley-Davidson, which will circumnavigate the approximate 5.2 million acres of the original Northern Neck Proprietary/Fairfax Land Grant deeded to the Fairfax family in 1649. The public is invited to join Lord Fairfax either by motorcycle or car. Registration and donation information can be found on www.LordFairfaxRide.org.

While in town, Lord Fairfax will also be participating in one of America’s most patriotic events – the Ride of the Patriots to Rolling Thunder on Sunday, May 27 as part of Memorial Day Weekend. This year marks the 20th Anniversary of the Ride of the Patriots, which will start departing Patriot Harley-Davidson to Washington, DC at approximately 7am.

Lord Fairfax will meet with the planning committee of the LFCR on Thursday, May 24 at the Civil War Interpretive Center at Historic Blenheim, followed by an informal discussion on his involvement in the House of Lords with respect to the United Kingdom’s evolving relationship with the rest of the European Union.

Interviews with Lord Fairfax are available while he is in town. If you wish to speak with him, or the Lord Fairfax Charity Ride event coordinator, please contact John Mason at the details below. Photo opportunities based on availability – please schedule in advance.
