Sports Facilities Overview

It's "Game On" in Fairfax County, Virginia! For multi-sport and large single-sport events, we've got the indoor and outdoor facilities planners look for in a potential host destination.

George Mason University and adjacent Robinson High School feature multiple basketball/volleyball courts, track & field venues, and tennis courts, as well as stadiums and an arena to host opening and closing ceremonies.

For large indoor events, The Fieldhouse offers two adjacent turf fields and four basketball courts that convert to six pickleball courts, while our megasportsplex – The St. James – boasts an Olympic pool, two NHL ice sheets, four NBA courts, eight international squash courts, and a FIFA turf field that can be covered with modular flooring to accommodate multiple sports and activities.

Beyond The St. James, hockey and figure skating events can be hosted at several two-sheet ice facilities, including SkateQuest and Mount Vernon Rec Center.

Along with several satellite fields for baseball and softball, Patriot Park North offers a six-diamond, turf/lighted complex with adjustable bases, portable mounds, a press box with lookout tower, and an impressive array of other special features and amenities.

Rounding out our diverse mix of facilities are 100+ rectangular turf fields, bowling centers, shooting/archery ranges, roadways, lakes, and rivers.
