Commodore Walter Brooke who served in the Virginia naval forces during the Revolutionary War constructed the original building on this site in 1777. The next 200 years saw the plantation parceled off and sold and the mansion enlarged and renovated. Now situated on 14 acres of the original property, the Stone Manson offers an elegant and refreshing alternative for a secluded office retreat, a relaxing picnic, or a festive holiday party. The mansion accommodates 65 or 150 with the surrounding grounds.
