The Fairfax County Ambassador Program gives hard-working hospitality professionals the chance to become Official Ambassadors for Fairfax County tourism. This FREE self-guided program teaches participants all about Fairfax County, from our amazing attractions to local cuisine to the visitor experiences that make this such a great place to visit!
The goal of this program is to give hospitality team members the knowledge they need to provide guests with the best recommendations about things to do in the area – because when our hospitality professionals make a positive impact on a guest’s experience, they also generate positive growth for our local economy, benefitting our community, our industry, and our employees.

What is featured in the Ambassador Program?
The ambassador program is comprised of five online modules that focus on Top Experiences, our Neighborhoods, and Resources that can be used to create 5-star experiences for our visitors. Each module contains videos and documents to help you better visualize these experiences. You will find
quizzes throughout the program to challenge your knowledge of the region. Completion of the final quiz will confirm your status as a newly minted Fairfax County Ambassador.
Why should I participate in the Ambassador Program?
The ambassador program represents a golden opportunity: not only to learn more about Fairfax County but also to use that knowledge for your guests visiting the area. A positive guest experience encourages additional visits to Fairfax County and to your business. But that’s not all! To make this both challenging and fun for our tourism community, participants completing this course will receive a pin after successfully scoring 70% or better on the final quiz. And … anyone who scores a 90% or better on the final quiz will be entered into a quarterly random drawing for a $100 amazon gift card.
