Home of the historic Civil War battle in which two Union generals perished and thousands of casualties were suffered by both Confederate and Union soldiers. A $700,000 project led to construction of new park trails, historic interpretive kiosks and signage, as well as landscape restoration and parking improvements. Site is also a part of the Virginia Civil War Trails program. The 4.8-acre site is owned and maintained by the Fairfax County Park Authority.
