Fairfax County’s dining and craft beverage scene continues to grow with high-profile expansions, chef-driven concepts, first-to-market openings, and other international recognition in 2026.

Newly Opened:
- The Naisho Room, a hidden, reservation-only speakeasy inside The Watermark Hotel in Tysons, delivers an upscale, Tokyo-inspired cocktail experience.
- The Simon and its adjacent Schar Bar, now open at the JW Marriott Reston Station, deliver elevated Mid-Atlantic dining with standout touches like tableside Duck à la Presse, a roaming cheese cart, and one of the region’s most extensive amaro and rare-bourbon programs.
- Ornery Beer Co. Public House is now open in Herndon, serving house-brewed craft beer alongside elevated pub fare in a relaxed neighborhood setting.
- Town, a modern American neighborhood bistro, has recently opened in the heart of McLean.
- Corsica Wine Bar at Reston Town Center features a curated wine list and Mediterranean-inspired small plates.
- NAJA Mediterranean has opened at Mosaic District, offering traditional Mediterranean and Lebanese dishes in the former Kirby Club space.
- Kusshi Sushi, now open at Reston Town Center, serves specialty sushi rolls, Japanese appetizers, and handcrafted cocktails.
- HiFi Tex-Mex BBQ brings a bold Mexican–Texas barbecue fusion and daily drink specials to Mosaic District.
- Seven Restaurant and SYN Rooftop Bar & Lounge have opened at the AC Hotel Marriott & Residence Inn Reston, pairing European-inspired cuisine from Chef Alexis Hernandez with handcrafted cocktails and skyline views from the rooftop.
- Maman, the Martha Stewart–endorsed bakery and café, has opened its first Virginia location at Mosaic District, serving specialty coffees, teas, and all-day bites.
- Empanadas de Mendoza has opened a brick-and-mortar location in Reston, bringing its popular Argentine-style empanadas beyond its food truck roots. It also has a location in Lorton.
- In nearby Fairfax City, families will love Play Date Social at Ned’s Nest, an extension of Ned’s New England Deck featuring lobster rolls paired with an indoor play space for young children.
- Wonder Food Hall, a fast-growing take-out food hall concept, has opened in Reston, and features menus from more than 27 restaurants in one location, including celebrity chef partners like Bobby Flay, Jose Andres and others.

Coming Soon:
- Ebbitt House, the first-ever expansion of DC’s iconic Old Ebbitt Grill, opens in 2026 at Reston Station (adjacent to the new JW Marriott) with a sprawling dining room, multiple bars, and a large outdoor patio.
- Clarity, one of Northern Virginia’s most acclaimed modern American restaurants, expands from Vienna to Reston with its second location.
- Ruthie’s All Day, from a James Beard–nominated chef, brings Southern comfort classics to Fairfax Corner.
- Dogfish Head Alehouse will be returning to the DMV in summer 2026, taking a space adjacent to the new AC Marriott & Residence Inn in Reston.
- The Salty, a Miami-based specialty donut shop, and Pure Vida Miami, a wellness-focused fast-casual concept, both make their Mid-Atlantic debuts at Mosaic District in 2026.
- Electric Bull Steakhouse, a boutique South American steakhouse from Taco Bamba mastermind Victor Albisu, joins Vienna’s offerings in 2026.
- Yunnan by Potomac Noodle House will bring upscale Chinese cuisine specializing in mixian noodle bowls to Reston in 2026.
- Toastique, a gourmet toast and juice bar known for its colorful, wellness-focused menu, continues its Fairfax County expansion with new locations opening in Reston and Great Falls in 2026, following its recent Vienna debut.
- Grazie Nonna & Grazie Grazie, an Italian restaurant and sister deli concept, will bring Italian classics to Reston, from pastas to pizzas to deli sandwiches and chopped salads.
- Another Broken Egg, a southern-inspired brunch spot with a full cocktail menu, will open near George Mason University—one of its first two Northern Virginia locations.
- Bunnyman Brewing Company, which in the past year has opened a new location at the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton and acquired/merged the former Mustang Sally Brewing Co. in Chantilly, has also announced plans to establish a second restaurant space at the Workhouse Arts Center, featuring a family-friendly dining area downstairs and a more intimate, date-night-style space upstairs.
- Mount Vernon will unveil a fully renovated Food Court experience beginning in mid-March 2026.
