And if you're like me, making a weekend of this exclusive event would be the way to go. The great news is that less than 10 miles from the golf course is Tysons Corner - here you can choose from 15 hotels to use as your golf base camp for the tournament.

Wondering what you can do during your downtime? Well in Tysons, you won't have to look far for entertainment. First off, Tysons is a premier shopping destination in the National Capital Region with over 300 retail stores and restaurants to choose from! Between Tysons Galleria and Tysons Corner Center, you'll be able to shop til' you drop, grab a bite to eat at award-winning restaurants, and explore what the area has to offer - all of which is conveniently located close to the golf tournament.

Another thing you might want to do is bring your clubs with you on your trip and test your skill at one of our highly rated golf courses to unleash your inner Tiger Woods. Below you'll discover three recommendations to try out if you have the urge to test your skills.

Laurel Hill Golf Club

Laurel Hill Golf Club

Designer Bill Love, whose credits include the Iron Forge Course at Penn National and Hunting Hawk in Glenn Allen, Virginia, has created an impressive 18-hole course at Laurel Hill Golf Club - on land that formerly housed the D.C. Department of Corrections facility at Lorton. Paying homage to the early architects of American golf, Love's objective was to let the natural beauty of the property dictate the character of the course. By all accounts, he has succeeded - the course is critically acclaimed, being described as "one-of-a-kind" and "visually stunning." Book your tee time.

Twin Lakes Golf Course

Twin Lakes Golf Course

Twin Lakes Golf Course offers players the opportunity of a full day of golf with two 18-hole courses. Inaugurated in 1998, The Oaks’ par 71 and 6,715 yards challenge all golfers with multiple tees to ensure a fair test for all playing abilities. Every hole, except one, is tree-lined on both sides of the fairway, making accuracy the primary goal of the tee. Opened in 1967, the Lakes Course features a par-72 and 6,695-yard experience that requires more distance off the tee but is much more forgiving than the Oaks Course. Book your tee time.

Westfields Golf Club

Westfields Golf Club

Virginia's only Fred Couples-designed golf course provides an unsurpassed golfing experience for casual and accomplished players alike. Located in the beautiful town of Clifton, Virginia, Westfields Golf Club is a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. With no residences lining the links to intrude on the natural beauty of the course or to distract golfers from their game, Westfields offers a truly unique round of golf. The course is characterized by dense tree-lined fairways, undulating greens, and well-placed hazards yet is more open and playable than might initially appear. With your choice of five tee boxes, it ranges from 4,600 to over 7,000 yards. Book your tee time.
