Whether you’re looking for a large beer garden experience or a small-town festival, Northern Virginia has plenty of ways to get in the German spirit. Here are the top Oktoberfest events in Northern Virginia you won’t want to miss in 2025:

 

Vienna Oktoberfest

One of the most popular fall festivals in Fairfax County, Vienna Oktoberfest returns to Historic Church Street on Saturday, October 4, 2025. This free event is full of energy and fun for the whole family, featuring multiple stages with live music, dozens of food and drink vendors serving brats and beer, an artisan market, and a dedicated kids’ zone. 

 

2 Silos Brewing Oktoberfest

September 19–21
Friday: 4PM-9PM
Saturday: 11AM-9PM
Sunday: 11AM-5PM

From September 19-21, 2 Silos Brewing in Manassas hosts what has become known as Northern Virginia’s biggest Oktoberfest celebration. The weekend-long event is a family-friendly experience with German beers brewed on-site, brats, warm pretzels, bounce houses, face painters, and plenty of arts and crafts vendors to browse. It has outdoor grounds, fire pits, and live entertainment throughout the weekend. This is a festive destination that perfectly represents the spirit of the season.

 

Old Town Manassas Oktoberfest

September 20
10AM–5PM

On Saturday, September 20, the historic streets surrounding the Manassas Museum come alive with the sounds and tastes of Germany. The Old Town Manassas Oktoberfest is a full-day event that celebrates traditional German culture with live music, folk dancing, authentic German food, and craft vendors. Its walkable downtown and history make it a great place to embrace the culture and community. 

 

Alexandria Oktoberfest

September 27
11AM–6PM

On Saturday, September 27, Alexandria hosts its annual Oktoberfest celebration at John Carlyle Square. This event combines the beauty of Alexandria’s waterfront city with a passionate German celebration. Expect German music, folk dance performances, a large beer garden, and delicious Bavarian cuisine like schnitzel, sausages, and strudel. Local crafters will be selling handmade crafts, and families can enjoy a variety of kid-friendly entertainment.

 

Middleburg Oktoberfest

September 20
11AM–6PM

Middleburg’s Oktoberfest takes place on Saturday, September 20, and is the perfect combo of small-town charm and authentic German fun. This event has two spacious biergartens, serving up local beer, wine, and cider. Traditional food trucks and vendors will line the streets selling brats, pretzels, and German treats. Live music, dancing, corgi races and a festive atmosphere will fill the town. For those looking to enjoy a relaxing and scenic Oktoberfest experience, Middleburg is your go-to.

 

Lovettsville Oktoberfest

September 26–28

Lovettsville’s Oktoberfest takes place over three days from September 26–28, starting each evening at 6 PM. Known for its deep German roots, this event provides an authentic and traditional celebration. Visitors can enjoy brats and barbecue, listen to authentic German bands, watch folk dancing, and join in the festive energy of a town that embraces its heritage. With an estimated 13,000 attendees, the event has grown into a major regional event.
