As the weather turns cold and rainy, it can be tempting to just curl up on the couch and hibernate until spring. Here in Fairfax County, however, there's still plenty of excitement to be had all year round! Whether you're looking for family-friendly excitement or to unleash your own inner child, these indoor play centers in Fairfax County offer hours of fun and adventure for everyone.

Ready, aim, let loose! Set your phasers to "fun" and strap on your vests for a blood-pumping adventure at one of Fairfax County's laser tag centers. At Ultrazone Laser Tag And Amusement Center, you can wind your way through a darkened labyrinth and fog-filled passageways while not only dodging your opponents' lasers - but also their brand new DOD21 mega robot!  Shadowland Laser Adventure Center also offers an exciting fog-filled environment with colored lights and upbeat sounds. You can also earn special power-ups (like "invisibility" or "rapid-fire") from stations mounted throughout the arena.

Golfing for the Whole Family

Monster Mini Golf

It can already be difficult to conquer a mini golf course in the light, but to do it in the dark - that's mastery! Challenge yourself to an unconventional indoor mini-golf course at Monster Mini Golf in Chantilly. This 18-hole course is a glow-in-the-dark, monster-themed attraction - complete with an animatronic ogre (kid-friendly, of course). The unique spot is a two-in-one for fun because it also offers an arcade experience inside as well. Another glow-in-the-dark mini-golf experience unfolds in The Dark Tower, located inside the aforementioned Shadowland Laser Adventures in Alexandria. This mini-golf course puts you in the middle of glowing dragons, ancient passageways, bubbling elixirs, and cauldrons.
