Calling all gamers and gaming enthusiasts! George Mason University’s Student Involvement and the Center for the Arts, in collaboration with Mason’s Computer Game Design Department, GMU Esports, and GMU Anime & Gaming Society, team up once again for GAMEmason, an engaging all-day gaming convention March 20 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on the Fairfax campus of George Mason University. GAMEmason 2020 is sponsored in part by Microsoft, The Cave in Fairfax, and MAGFest.

Battle against friends in a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Tournament for a chance to find yourself on the big stage for the Finals! Relive childhood fun with an expanded arcade filled with favorites like Pinball, Donkey Kong, and many more. Experience AR/VR demonstrations, attend education sessions, Q&A panels, and meet and greets with major power players in the gaming industry including Tara Strong (Canadian-American actress and voice actor for Riku in both Final Fantasy X and the hugely popular “Kingdom Hearts” video game series) and Angela Hession (Head of XBOX Safety of Microsoft whose helped launch more than 100 games on Xbox 360 and Kinect).

New this year, play in the Microsoft-sponsored gaming room for a variety of activities, as well as a tabletop gaming space with games provided by MAGFest. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with outside gaming affiliates, speak with Mason Game Design professors, and enjoy commemorative swag.
