NORTHERN VIRGINIA CAMPSITES & RV PARKS
Want to distance yourself from people and city life? Fairfax County offers quite a few options for camping in the peaceful setting of nature. You'll be surrounded by acres and acres of forest in a beautiful park setting. What makes this area so unique, too, is that you don't have to give up the convenience of quick access to a major metropolitan city - Washington, DC is only a couple of miles away.
It doesn’t matter if you prefer tent camping or glamping in an RV. Many of our Fairfax County campgrounds offer bath houses, hot showers and toilets, potable water, fire rings, and picnic tables. Some, like Lake Fairfax and Bull Run Regional Park are home to water parks or close to major attractions, like Great Falls Park. (Great Falls is a day-use only park; overnight camping is prohibited.)
Take a look at some of the campgrounds below to help you find the spot perfect for your family and friends.
