Fairfax County Civil War Trails Sites

Northern Virginia Civil War Trails Sites

Spread across five states, hundreds of Civil War Trails markers stand witness to our nation's history. While some of these interpretive markers are located at popular attractions, others serve as roadside reminders which pinpoint events that occurred on that site. Together, they tell the story of one of our country's most dramatic conflicts. Fairfax County,Virginia is home to over 30 of these markers, collectively offering a self-guided tour of the role our county played on the dividing line between North and South.
